Social Studies in grades 6, 7, & 8 is more than just dates and events.
Social Studies is the study of how things in the world are connected to each other. It incorporates topics from art to zoology and includes geography, history, science, literature and politics... just to name a few. We investigate the world and what's happening today and attempt to make sense of it by connecting it to the past. By doing so, we try to gain a better understanding of not only where we are, but where we can go.
