COVID GUIDELINES FOR 2021-2022

    PLEASE READ!!!
    IF YOU ARE ON VACATION NOW,
    OR PLANNING A LAST MINUTE VACATION OUTSIDE OF THE TRISTATE AREA.
    CONTACT THE SCHOOL NURSE IMMEDIATELY
    TO DETERMINE NECESSITY AND LENGTH OF QUARANTINE!

     

    TRAVEL QUARANTINE:
    DOMESTIC TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF NY, NJ, PA, DE: 
    ALL UNVACCINATED PERSONS MUST QUARANTINE FOR 7 - 10 DAYS POST TRAVEL. IF YOU TEST ON DAY 3-5 AFTER YOUR RETURN TO NJ YOU WOULD QUARANTINE FOR 7 DAYS. IF NO TESTING IS DONE THEN THE QUARANTINE PERIOD IS 10 DAYS. VACCINATED PERSONS DO NOT HAVE TO QUARANTINE AT THIS TIME, UNLESS THEY EXHIBIT ANY SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS. 
    INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL:
    ALL VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED PERSONS NEED TO TEST ON DAY 3-5 POST TRAVEL AND QUARANTINE FOR SEVEN DAYS IF NEGATIVE. QUARANTINE IS 10 DAYS IF YOU OPT NOT TO TEST. 
    EXPOSURE QUARANTINE:
    UNVACCINATED PERSONS: TEST ON DAY 5 - 7 AFTER EXPOSURE TO A PERSON TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 AND QUARANTINE FOR 7 DAYS IF NEGATIVE. QUARANTINE FOR 10 DAYS IF NOT TESTED. 
    VACCINATED PERSONS: DO NOT NEED TO QUARANTINE POST-EXPOSURE TO A POSITIVE CASE UNLESS SYMPTOMS DEVELOP. IF SYMPTOMS DEVELOP THEN TESTING IS RECOMMENDED AND QUARANTINE UNTIL RESULTS ARE RECEIVED. 

    DAILY HEALTH SCREENING AND COVID COMPATIBLE SYMPTOMS:
    PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
    PLEASE COMPLETE THE DAILY SYMPTOM SCREENER IN PICK UP PATROL NO LATER THAN 8:15 AM EACH DAY.
    ANYONE THAT IS UNFAMILIAR WITH THIS OR NEEDS HELP SETTING IT UP PLEASE CONTACT THE MAIN OFFICE. 
    IF YOUR CHILD HAS SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS, DO NOT SEND THEM IN TO SCHOOL.
    YOUR CHILD WILL NEED TO BE TESTED FOR COVID IF THEY HAVE ONE SYMPTOM FROM COLUMN A OR TWO SYMPTOMS FROM COLUMN B. AN ALTERNATE DIAGNOSIS SUCH AS A POSITIVE STREP TEST OR SINUS INFECTION IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. IF THEY ARE DIAGNOSED WITH ANOTHER ILLNESS THEY WOULD ALSO NEED TO BE TESTED FOR COVID. THE CHILD CAN RETURN AFTER A NEGATIVE COVID TEST IS RECEIVED. RAPID AND PCR COVID-19 TESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. WE CANNOT ACCEPT RESULTS FROM HOME TESTS.
    Siblings of the symptomatic student need to stay home as well until test results are received.

    *IF YOUR CHILD HAS JUST ONE OF THESE SYMPTOMS MARKED WITH AN ASTERISK IN COLUMN B THEY NEED TO STAY HOME FROM SCHOOL UNTIL SYMPTOMS HAVE RESOLVED FOR 24 HOURS, BUT WOULD NOT NEED A COVID TEST, UNLESS THEY DEVELOPED A SECOND SYMPTOM.

    IF YOUR CHILD 12 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER HAS BEEN VACCINATED PLEASE SEND IN PROOF OF VACCINATION.
